Children’s Ministry
Ms. Khoury has served in various children’s ministries for 34 years. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church for twenty years. While at Northwest Baptist Ms. Khoury taught and directed sixth grade Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, TEAM Kid, AWANA, and other church ministries.
Professional Background
Mrs. Khoury’s professional background is in business, and she has participated in numerous family businesses, including: owning and operating a style salon and beauty business, assisting husband with owning and managing 3 different restaurants, assisting with setting up and managing books for husband’s homebuilding business, (American Eagle Homes), starting and running a Christian publishing company, Little Light Press.
Teaching Experience
Ms. Khoury served as a homeschool mom for sixteen years from 1990 to 2006. Both of her sons have graduated from college (one from graduate school). One received full-ride scholarships to Oklahoma City University.
Curriculum Development
Ms. Khoury designed, wrote and published the children’s Bible curriculum, Answers For New Christians. She has designed and published 3 other children’s books and one adult book, Keep Calm in Chaos.
Prison Ministry
Ms. Khoury served as a mentor to women in prison from 2008-2012. She is a badged DOC volunteer and has also served as a volunteer Chaplain for the Federal Transfer Center.
Children With Incarcerated Parents
Ms. Khoury has been working full time as Principal of the Little Light Christian School since fall of 2012. She is a member of the Oklahoma Children of Incarcerated Parents Task Force.
